Sumo Square Driver - The MOI effect

The Sasquatch SQ Sumo 5900 is the latest incarnation of the square driver to come from the Nike Golf series of golf drivers.

Sumo stands for Super Moment of Inertia (MOI) which has been designed by the Nike development team to produce their longest and straightest driver yet. The MOI has been increased to 5300 which in layman terms means that the head of the Sumo 5900 square head has a lesser tendency to twist as it strikes the golf ball at impact. Increasing the MOI by a redesign of the perimeter weighting Nike have produced the striking looking Sumo2 5900 square driver. Usually when a golf driver is hit off centre the head will twist, resulting in a loss of distance as well as the ball possible heading in the wrong direction. By increasing the MOI added to the revolutionary geometric design of the Sumo square driver, distance lost on off centre shots is greatly reduced.
