Square Drivers - Sumo2 5900 v Callaway Ft-i Driver
Hot on the heels of Callaway with the introduction of their Fusion Fti driver, Nike entered the market of golf square drivers with the highly acclaimed Sumo2 5900.
Claims that the Sumo SQ 5900 driver is the the most accurate and unforgiving square driver on the golf market are not unfounded. Combined with its ability to launch the ball huge distances of the tee the Sumo 5900 has gained respect in all but the truly traditional of golfers.
Ok it is a revolutionary design but it is one that has been copied by some the other big names in the game. Callaway Golf have always been at the forefront of golf club design and they have brought to market the Fti Square Driver.

Callaway FT-i or the FT-i Tour
The Fti Driver is made to the usual high standards associated with Callaway products. The Ft-i square head driver is available in two flavours. The Fti Driver is a club designed for the club golfer who requires the extra benefits of a straighter and more penetrating ball flight off the tee. The Fusion Fti Tour Driver is a square driver directly aimed at the lower handicap golfer who likes to shape his ball.
Fti Square Driver Specs
The Callaway Fusion FTi Square Driver is available in the UK at online golf outlets with the following specifications allowing a fully customised fit to suit golfers of all levels.
- Lofts available: 9, 10, 11 and 13HT degrees
- Draw or neutral weight configuration
- Fujikura stock shaft available in light, regular and stiff flex
This extra level of customisation brings the square head golf driver into the same level of specification normally favoured by the more traditional shaped driver. The golfer at any level can now have a club that will allow more forgiveness off the tee and produce a soaring penetrating flight when hitting off center shots.
